Enabling responsive and entertaining audio environments throughout the home is what HomePod is about. We create applications, frameworks, and services to deliver a solid customer experience on our unique, deeply-integrated platforms. We bring new features to life quickly with collaboration spanning Siri, HomeKit, audio, music, and other Apple teams. The HomePod System Experience team is looking for software engineers with strong technical experience, collaboration skills, and a desire to contribute to world class innovation in this exciting space. We need individuals with strong client API development, framework implementation experience, and iOS application programming backgrounds to enable the phenomenal customer experience delivered in every Apple product. The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering and programming background with an understanding of system level development. Key Qualifications
- Deep understanding of system level development and core CS fundamentals, such as multithreading and abstractions
- Should be comfortable living in other people’s code and navigating large, multi-project codebases
- Experience with industry software engineering processes including unit test development, performance measurement, quality engineering, and cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to break down high-level feature requests and architect practical solutions
- Experience with Swift/Objective-C coding and debuggers
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Passion for quality and attention to detail
- Aptitude to independently learn new technologies
Education & Experience
- BS CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
